Quantitative Analyst (Exotic Rates) – Director(VP)I have been asked to find an Exotic Rates Quant Analyst for a long-standing and delightful client. Based in the City of London you will be joining a very successful investment bank, within a harmonious and well led team. The potential for career growth and job satisfaction are unlikely to be bettered across town.Purpose of Job As a member of the global Quant Analytics Team, the candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of the group’s cross-asset pricing library with an emphasis on vanilla and exotic rates. The candidate will be expected to take responsibility for solving modelling problems that arise within vanilla and exotic rates. Key responsibilities:Research, development, implementation of mathematical models and analytical tools to support the trading businessPractical implementation of in-house developed pricing models into trading environment.Provision of quantitative analysis, research and tools to the desk to support trading and risk management activities.Clear communication of complex quantitative concepts to Front Office and Risk Management functions.Capture new requirements from the trading desk and manage delivery of solutions through quant libraries and associates IT systems. Suggested profile for position:Excellent qualifications in a numerate discipline. Ideally a PhD or secondary degree is preferable.In depth and up to date knowledge of vanilla and exotic interest rate derivatives productsStrong quantitative development skills, with excellent experience of coding models in C++Excellent spreadsheet and mathematical modelling skills.Vice President/Director (3-7 years experience).A deep understanding of derivatives products, with an ability to analyse and understand the fundamental price driversFront office derivatives modelling experience.Previous experience of exotic IR models, particularly CMS structures. Familiarity with Monte-Carlo simulation. Experience of automatic differentiation desirable. Ability to work in a team, and to communicate technical issues clearly with trading and support functions. Agent’s notes:This is a very stable quant team and this role is due to business growth (not a replacement)Salary will be up to £150k basic plus a bonus of circa 50%.Having placed 90% of this quant team into this bank in London, since 2007, I cannot recommend them highly enough.
