The Opportunity
As the Associate Director of FP&A, you’ll work closely with business leaders globally to shape Agoda’s financial strategies. Your role will involve advising on investments and addressing performance issues to drive success. You’ll develop financial frameworks, guide investment strategies, and improve financial processes to support our evolving business needs. Your leadership will help drive operational excellence and collaboration, making finance a key part of Agoda’s success.
In this Role, you’ll get to:
* Lead the team in developing and executing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
* Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management at Agoda and Booking Holdings to support business objectives and growth initiatives
* Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decision-making and optimize financial performance
* Mentor and develop junior members of the FP&A team, fostering a culture of curiosity and exploration
What you’ll Need to Succeed:
* Over 10 years of comprehensive experience, including significant expertise in FP&A
* More than 5 years of proven experience in leading and managing teams effectively
* Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen, and good judgment
* Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and willingness to go beyond scope
* Ability to challenge and collaborate with senior business partners
* Excellent analytical, numerical, and financial modeling skills, with attention to detail
* Strong communication skills, conveying messages clearly and concisely
It’s Great if you have:
* Finance/Corporate Finance/Accounting qualification (e.g., CFA, ACA, CIMA)
* Experience in digital companies is beneficial
* Exposure to online travel/E-commerce industry is a plus
* Proficiency with SQL and Tableau or willingness to learn
* MBA preferred
* Background in statistics or decision sciences is welcome but not necessary
