Brief Description
From establishing safety arrangements to checking the quality of work, you'll direct and inspire the success of a team involved in everything from inspection and faulting, through to maintenance and renewal.
Requirements: Must hold SMTH and have or be working towards IRSE license.
Role Responsibilities
* Organise and control the safe and efficient delivery of work.
* Communicate effectively in person and in writing.
* Apply knowledge of maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques.
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards, procedures, and instructions.
* Lead and motivate a high-performing team with a clear sense of direction.
* Establish safety arrangements and ensure adherence to safe systems of work.
* Control and check the quality of work and the competence of team members.
* Ensure assets are compliant and all equipment is fit for purpose.
* Compile vital reports as required.
Essential Criteria
* Experience in organising and delivering work safely and efficiently.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Knowledge of maintenance, inspection, faulting, and renewal techniques.
* Knowledge of standards, procedures, and instructions.
* Inspirational leadership qualities.
* Hold Safety Critical Competencies: COSS, CRP, and PC.
Desirable Criteria
* NVQ level 2 or 3 in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.
* Willingness to drive vehicles, including up to 7.5t, and upgrade licenses as needed.
* Hold or be working towards additional Safety Critical Competencies: Strapping, NSCD (Ops), and Engineering Supervisor.
