We’re recruiting for a permanent, full-time experienced Credit Controller to work within a busy, supportive finance team. No two days will be the same, and you’ll play a key role in maintaining excellent customer relationships while ensuring smooth cash flow for the business.
Paying up to £30,000 with an annual bonus as well!!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately record all credit control activity, including chasing and payment commitments
2. Work closely with your team leader to resolve any account issues effectively
3. Support colleagues with their workload when required
4. Reduce overdue debts through proactive follow-up and communication
5. Oversee the set-up of new customer accounts, including credit limit approvals and monitoring
6. Maintain strong working relationships with customers and internal teams
7. Escalate issues promptly when necessary
8. Collaborate with operational departments to support business needs
9. Assist managers with occasional ad-hoc finance projects
10. Prepare and present updates to stakeholders clearly and concisely
11. Complete daily bank reconciliations
12. Provide cover and support for other finance assistant roles when needed
Requirements:
As a Credit Controller, you will need…
13. Proven experience in credit control or accounts receivable roles.
14. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage relationships and resolve disputes professionally.
15. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
