Sport and Football Lecturer (Hourly Paid)
Abingdon & Witney College is looking for passionate and committed Hourly Paid Lecturers (HPLs) to inspire the next generation of sports professionals and football talent.
Salary: £28.62 - £37.08 per hour
Hours per week: Various - Part time and Day time
Weeks per Annum: 6 - 10 (approx.)
Working pattern: Monday - Friday
Location: Abingdon Campus
Contract type: Fixed term until September 2026
Curriculum Area: Sport and Football
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and flexible teaching in Sport and Football.
* Inspire students through real-world examples and practical sessions.
* Support learners in achieving their goals through effective assessment and feedback.
* Contribute to curriculum planning and development.
* Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the student experience.
Essential Experience
* Strong subject knowledge in Sport and/or Football.
* Relevant qualifications or professional experience in the field.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A genuine passion for teaching and student success.
* Flexibility to work across sites and varied schedules.
Desirable Experience
* Teaching experience in further education or similar settings.
* Practical experience in sports coaching, therapy, or football development.
* Experience working with diverse learner groups.
* Ability to plan and deliver inclusive, engaging lessons.
* Involvement with a Sports Academy or Sports Therapy programmes.
