Tradewind Recruitment is working with several secondary schools across Northampton who are looking for an Internal Exclusion Manager to join their pastoral teams from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role that sits at the heart of the school's behaviour and wellbeing strategy. As Internal Exclusion Manager, you will be responsible for running the school's internal exclusion room - a safe, structured space for students who have been removed from lessons. You'll provide consistent supervision, support pupils to reflect on their choices, and help plan for their successful reintegration into class. A calm and authoritative presence, you'll work closely with the pastoral team, teachers, and senior leaders to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour and engagement. To be successful in this role, you should have experience working with young people - particularly those with social, emotional, or behavioural needs - in an educational or pastoral setting. Strong communication and behaviour management skills are essential, as is the ability to build trust while maintaining high expectations. A background in youth work, support work, or teaching assistance would be highly beneficial.
