My client is an extremely successful M&A platform centred on the Renewable Energy sector. This firm provides a full-service advisory offering including M&A, capital raising, capital structure optimisation, financial restructuring and strategic advice. They operate across the capital stack and typically several billion of equity and debt across assets, portfolios and companies each year. Specialist sectors include low carbon generation, flexible storage including batteries, low carbon molecules and e-fuels as well as data centres. Due to strong brand, reputation and high activity their Advisory team is growing and keen to recruit at the VP grade in London. Overview of role You will be involved in every aspect of M&A transactions and involve the following key responsibilities: Lead the deal and take responsibility for the crafting and delivery of advice provided to clients across the various equity and debt mandates. In coordination with the junior team, review and stress-test financial models used for both sell- and buy-side mandates as well as translating financial analysis into strategic advice for clients. Leading a team of junior bankers in the drafting of investment memoranda, management presentations and other deal marketing documents as well as internal investment presentations and other client documentation where required. Leading and/or assisting in the co-ordination of due diligence activities. You will be hands-on across the entire execution process including co-ordinating workstreams with other advisors. Lead the negotiation and execution of all transaction documents from SPAs, Holdco debt facilities and joint venture agreements. Be able to execute transactions with limited input from other colleagues. Additionally, you will be expected to drive and support: Firm-wide marketing activities including drafting pitches and assisting with ideas generation. Building and strengthening relationships with new and existing clients. The supervision and training of junior bankers including running our long-standing and successful internship programme. Drive the continued enhancement of the franchise. To be considered for this role You must have accrued least 5-7 years of relevant work experience, an excellent academic record and a top university degree. You should be able to demonstrate your deal execution experience and have highly proficient financial modelling and presentation skills. Importantly, you must have an impressive track record in closing complex deals and have relevant references to support this. Experience in the renewables/sustainability, infrastructure, or power generation sectors is preferred as well Additional European languages are advantageous
