Our Home First & Reablement service supports people returning home after a hospital stay. This helps them continue their recovery in their own surroundings, regaining independence.
This is an exciting time to join our expanding service. We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to work with people in their communities.
We are recruiting both experienced and new-to-care Rehabilitation Assistants in The Forest of Dean.
As a Health Care Support Worker, you will work closely with healthcare professionals, delivering clinical and personal care. You will ensure service users' needs are met and help maintain high standards of care.
If you are new to care and have no healthcare experience, we offer a structured development plan, including achieving the Care Certificate. Progression from pay band 2 to pay band 3 is available upon certification.
The service operates 24/7. All Rehabilitation Assistant roles have core hours from 07:00 to 22:00.
This role covers hours from 17:00 to 22:00 on a 4-day on, 4-day off shift pattern.
Applicants must have a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes, as the role involves locality-based visits.
The qualification, training, and experience requirements are detailed in the Job Description/Person Specification.
We have over 5,000 dedicated staff across 55 sites and in people's homes. We promote a welcoming, inclusive, and diverse workplace culture, fostering a sense of belonging and trust.
Our staff surveys and engagement opportunities allow staff to share their experiences. Recent surveys show high satisfaction, with 72% recommending us as a place to work, 76% endorsing our care quality, and 81% prioritizing patient and service user care.
We aim to be a Great Place to Work, continuously improving staff engagement and service quality.
