Job Description
Justteachers are working with a Bradford based Secondary School to appoint for a SEMH Support Assistant to work with their Nurture Group.
This role is to start as soon as possible on a full-time basis and will run until the end of the academic year.
Key responsibilities
Provide a structured and supportive environment to foster security and emotional regulation
Support students in managing anxiety or negative thoughts
Have restorative conversations to repair relationships and understand the impact of actions
Provide emotional coaching to model identification and regulation of feelings
Teach emotional awareness and regulation strategies
Enforce trauma informed practice
Requirements
Experience supporting students or young adults with SEMH
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A genuine passion for education and child development
Excellent behaviour management skills
Two school, education or SEMH based references
