Support Worker - Positive Behaviour Support
We currently have two positions available: a full-time role (36 hours per week) and a part-time role (28 hours per week).
Applicants must possess a valid UK driving licence.
A night enhancement of £1.00 per hour applies from 8pm to 7am, Monday to Thursday (excluding sleep-ins). A weekend enhancement of £1.00 per hour is paid from 8pm Friday to 7am Monday (excluding sleep-ins).

Our supported living service at Benholme supports men 24/7, sharing a home and presenting with sensory needs and expressive communication challenges, following a positive behaviour support plan to promote independence and fulfillment.
Due to the location, driving is desirable for this role. Please check the location before applying: Benholme, Main Road, Kendal, Burneside, Kendal, LA9 6QX.
The role involves supporting individuals with learning disabilities and complex care needs to live independently in their own homes and communities.
Join our supported living team, providing positive and engaging support to individuals with sensory needs and expressive communication. Experience as a care assistant, support worker, or healthcare worker is desirable but not essential. We offer excellent training and induction programs for all new staff.
As a PBS Support Worker with Leonard Cheshire, you will be part of a fantastic team. Your duties will include:
* Assisting with daily tasks such as personal care, medication, and mealtimes.
* Supporting individuals in and around the service, including external events and appointments.
* Encouraging independence and supporting individuals to achieve their aspirations.
* Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

* Have good interpersonal and communication skills.

* Possess personal care experience (not essential).
* Be able to work under pressure and as part of a team.
