Sports Coach

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Salary: £105 - £120 per day
About the Role
We are seeking a committed, energetic Sports Coach to join our team at a secondary special school supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. You will play a key role in delivering physical education and sports programmes, helping students develop skills, confidence and resilience in a structured, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting teachers in delivering a range of lessons and sporting activities across the curriculum.
Plan, organise, and deliver lessons that engage all students, adapting coaching styles to suit differing needs
Promote positive behaviour and social skills through sport, modelling respect, discipline, teamwork and perseverance
Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and liaising with teachers and support staff
Support the wider pastoral team in helping students with SEMH needs to manage emotions and behaviour during sports sessionsAbout You
We're looking for someone who:
Experience supporting students with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or those at risk of exclusion.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to inspire trust and motivate learners.
Calm, patient, and resilient approach, able to adapt to a variety of situations.
A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their best outcomes.What We Offer

Additional Information
