Job Responsibilities
* Implements physician orders, administers medications, starts IVs, performs treatments, procedures, and special tests, and documents treatments as required by policies and regulations.
* Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions.
* Assesses and evaluates patient needs and responses to care.
* Applies sound nursing judgment in patient care decisions.
* Provides primary and emergency care for injuries and illnesses.
* Administers medications as ordered.
* Collaborates with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
* Directs and guides ancillary personnel and maintains professional nursing standards.
Minimum Qualifications
* Graduate of a nursing program with a Diploma, Associate, or Baccalaureate Degree.
* Current NYS Registered Nurse license.
* Certification in BLS and ACLS.
* 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
* Keen knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving tools for quality improvement.
