RPS, now a Tetra Tech company, is seeking a Senior Ecologist to join our team within the UK Environment Division. We deliver various renewable energy project inputs, including ecological appraisals, ornithological surveys, protected species surveys, mitigation design, and post-construction monitoring. RPS is a leading global multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in the built and natural environment, shaping future landscapes.
What you’ll be doing
* Planning and undertaking habitat and protected species surveys, supervising field staff to identify key receptors and constraints.
* Writing and delivering technical reports, EcIA, ES chapters, and inputting into HRA reports, while designing mitigation measures in line with NPF4.
* Managing project finances with support from senior management.
* Collaborating with management and clients to generate new work streams, leading tenders for new projects.
* Travel involved; a full UK driving license is required.
Who we’re looking for
* Full membership of CIEEM and a relevant degree or equivalent.
* Experience in delivering Breadth of ECoW and understanding of EPS and other license applications.
* Possibly an EPS licensed consultant (Class 1 or 2 bat or other species) with knowledge of UK and EU Wildlife Legislation.
* Strong time and project management skills, with excellent communication and influencing abilities to build relationships with colleagues, clients, and external bodies.
