We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to support the daily operations of a childrens residential home. This is a rewarding opportunity to provide leadership, guidance, and support to a team of carers, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding for young people. Key Responsibilities Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the childrens home. Ensure high-quality care, safeguarding, and development opportunities for residents. Supervise, mentor, and support the staff team, ensuring compliance with regulations and best practices. Lead by example, promoting a positive, nurturing environment tailored to each young persons needs. Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and incident reporting to ensure effective care delivery. Support Ofsted inspections, ensuring compliance with Childrens Home Regulations and Quality Standards. Liaise with external professionals, including social workers, educators, and healthcare providers. Requirements Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent), with willingness to work towards Level 5. Experience in childrens residential care with leadership or supervisory experience. Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and trauma-informed care. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
