An exciting opportunity has arisen within South Lanarkshire Council’s Chief Executive’s Office within the Communications and Strategy service. We are seeking to recruit a Communications Assistant (Digital).
You will be involved in the effective day-to-day processing of communication jobs using established processes and systems within the digital team. You will also work with social media channels and be involved in processing content for the council’s website and intranet. You will play a key role in supporting and developing the Council’s Communication and Strategy campaigns and projects to deliver key council messages.
You should demonstrate excellent written, communication, planning, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to protect the council’s reputation, apply council policies, and manage your workload to meet service deadlines. You should have excellent IT skills, a good understanding of social media platforms and digital functions, and be dynamic and creative with problem-solving abilities. Contributing to process and system development is also expected. Successful applicants will need to be flexible in approach to meet Communications and Strategy requirements.
