Overview
Position Summary:
Supports the Product Manager or the Marketing Director in the definition and implementation of market requirements for new products, and the product management of a dedicated product line. Prepares marketing support program for a specific product, product line, or product area. Coordinates implementation with technical services and field sales organization. Provides Marketing assistance to field personnel and customers.

Key Accountabilities
Essential Functions:
1. Marketing interface with R&D, Operations and QA/RA.
2. Prepares and coordinates marketing support programs.
3. Contribute to planning and creation of advertising and promotional materials.
4. Write technical bulletins and newsletters.
5. Keeps informed about developments in medical instrumentation/diagnostic industry as they apply to the company's future marketing plans.
6. Provides sales technical training for sales staff.
7. Works with field sales staff to develop training requirements and sales tools required to introduce new products and sales campaigns for all or part of product line.
8. Makes presentations to customers.
9. Understands all maintenance, performance and advantages of Werfen products.
10. Understands technical aspects of Werfen and competitive products.
11. Monitors field test and marketing introduction programs.
12. Maintains regular communications with technical services on problems with instruments and reagents within the product line.

Qualifications
Min Knowledge & Experience Required for the Position:
16. Knowledge in Life Sciences: Medical Technology, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry Bachelor's degree in biological science, business administration or marketing discipline, or equivalent.
17. Minimum of 1 year prior experience in one of the following positions in the healthcare industry, preferably in the IVD sector: R&D; marketing product specialist; sales; medical technologist in clinical laboratories

The annual base salary range for this role is currently $90, to $,. Individual employee compensation will ultimately depend on factors including education, relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, and particular business needs.

Our sales roles are eligible for participation in a commission plan and our management, and select professional roles, are eligible for a performance-based bonus.
