Job title: Supply Chain Manager
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to GBP50k Dependant on Experience
Hours: Mon - Fri 40 hours
Purpose of the Supply Chain Manager Role:
As Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and developing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including forecasting, production planning, purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationship management. This is a hands-on role with scope to introduce new systems and improvements across the supply chain, including ERP implementation and process optimisation.
Key Responsibilities for a Supply Chain Manager:
* Develop and lead the supply chain strategy in alignment with business goals
* Analyse forecasts and create accurate production plans
* Manage and build relationships with key suppliers and vendors
* Take over and manage the purchasing/procurement function
* Oversee stock control and ensure optimal inventory levels
* Implement and manage ERP systems and supply chain processes
* Identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities
* Collaborate closely with production, sales, and finance teams
Key Requirements for a Supply Chain Manager:
* Proven experience in a supply chain management role within a manufacturing environment
* Strong background in production planning, procurement, and inventory control
* Demonstrable success in implementing or improving ERP/MRP system
* Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and suppliers
* Experience leading change and driving process improvements
