Work base: Highland Podiatry Centre, Abban Street, Inverness
This is an exciting post for those who wish to increase and improve their clinical skills. NHS Highland (unlike other Health Boards) encourages all clinical staff to work to the top of their scope of practice. We will encourage development of skills such as steroid injections and prescribing.
This post may incorporate a short period of support and induction primarily because we work so differently from other Boards.
Responsibilities
Daily clinical work will include nail surgery, MSK assessments, and wound care management of the high‑risk limb. If not familiar or confident with Post Tibial blocks, deep enucleations, and needling / blunt dissections of verrucae, we will provide support to up‑skill you.
Qualifications
Qualifications required: a BSc qualification in Podiatric Medicine, qualification in L.A. and nail surgery, registration with the HPC, and a full, current driving licence.
We expect a sound professional and clinical knowledge, understanding of clinical governance, and the ability to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills. You must also be able to prioritise, plan and organise your workload.
Informal enquiries may be made to Michael Gates, Telephone: 01463 241019.
