Electrician
Location: HMP Portland – DT5 1DL
Salary: £40,579.20 per annum including £1,000 of allowances
Contract: Permanent, full time – 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Role overview
As an Electrician, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues from a range of trades – including planners, plumbers, carpenters, painters, cleaners, and administrators – to provide a safe and secure environment for all.
Qualifications
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL) including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
* Two years’ experience working as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills
