We are looking for an experienced and dedicated SEN HLTA to join a wonderful team, providing high-quality support for pupils with Special Educational Needs across the school. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a SEN HLTA:
* Deliver planned learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCo.
* Assist in planning, preparing, and adapting resources to meet the needs of pupils with a range of additional needs.
* Lead targeted interventions to support pupils’ academic progress, social skills, and emotional wellbeing.
* Support and guide other teaching assistants working with SEN pupils.
* Monitor, assess, and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teachers, parents, and relevant staff.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Foster a positive, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.
* Support the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
Ideal SEN HLTA:
* HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
* Significant experience supporting pupils with special educational needs.
* Strong understanding of a range of SEN strategies and interventions.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills as a SEN HLTA.
* Ability to show initiative and work independently when required.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
