Position

Pupil Support Officer required • 32.5 hours per week term time only • Salary Scale 6 Point 16 - 20 (£27,017 gross pa – £28,660 gross pa). Starting Salary will be set at Scale 6 Point 16.


Overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Pupil Support Officer to work alongside our current friendly and close knit team to support students who are disaffected with school or have been permanently excluded. You will work in local schools as part of our Outreach Team, supporting students in mainstream schools or reintegration programmes. Previous primary experience is essential, together with outstanding behaviour management skills. Team Teach training is required or you must be willing to undertake it.

Our school was rated GOOD by OFSTED November 2023.

Responsibilities

* Deliver pupil support and behaviour management, working closely with schools and families.
* Support disaffected or permanently excluded students in mainstream schools or reintegration programmes.
* Identify and address individual learning needs and develop strategies to improve engagement and achievement.
* Maintain accurate record keeping and progress reporting.
* Work collaboratively with the Outreach Team, teachers, and external services.


Qualifications

* Previous primary experience essential.
* Outstanding behaviour management skills.
* Team Teach training or willingness to undertake it.
* Possession of a car and ability to use it for outreach.
