1. Position: Lead Teaching Assistant
2. Salary: £25,992 – £31,067, pro rata
3. Location: Hastings
4. Hours: 36 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks of the year)

We have partnered with a fantastic school in looking for a proactive and passionate Lead Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives by supporting their academic progress and personal development.
As Lead Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a key role in creating a supportive learning environment. You’ll lead a team of Teaching Assistants, plan and deliver targeted interventions, and work closely with teachers, parents, and the SENDCo to remove barriers to learning and ensure every child reaches their full potential.
What you’ll do
6. Deliver tailored learning programmes and interventions
7. Monitor student progress and adapt support accordingly
8. Line manage Teaching Assistants and coordinate SEND provision
9. Conduct learning walks and quality assure classroom support
10. Analyse data to inform planning and provision
11. Support teachers with strategies and resources for inclusive learning
12. Maintain accurate SEND records and manage access arrangements
13. Communicate effectively with families and external agencies
14. Mentor students 1:1 and in small groups
15. Assist with whole class teaching and pastoral care
16. Coordinate CPD and training records for support staff
17. Support transition planning for students with SEND
18. Confidently use ICT systems (SIMS, Excel, CPOMS, Word)

25. First Aid qualification or willingness to train
