Part-Time Finance and Payroll Assistant, Bristol
Robert Half Finance & Accounting is supporting our client in North Somerset to find a part-time Finance & Payroll Assistant. This is a permanent role, 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The client offers:
Up to £30,000 FTE plus hybrid working
Main responsibilities include:
1. Oversee purchase ledger, ensuring invoices are processed promptly for weekly payment runs
2. Manage expenses weekly
3. Perform daily bank reconciliations, including foreign currency accounts
4. Process ad hoc payments to suppliers
5. Monitor overdue customer payments and follow up accordingly
6. Work towards cash collection targets
7. Record all transactions in the accounting software
8. Maintain fixed assets in the software
9. Prepare monthly payroll, handle timesheets, and arrange BACs transfers
10. Complete PAYE/NI returns to HMRC and organise BACS payments
11. Submit BACs transfers to the pension provider
12. Respond to finance queries from internal and external contacts
13. Perform other finance-related tasks as required
You should have:
* Knowledge of payroll processes including PAYE, BACs, and timesheets
* Basic bookkeeping skills, including purchase and sales ledgers and credit control
* A positive attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team
* On-site parking
* Flexibility in working hours
