A leading Scottish law firm is seeking an experienced Dispute Resolution Solicitor (minimum 5 years’ PQE) to join its highly regarded litigation team. The team is recognised nationally for its work across high profile cases and complex matters in the Scottish Courts.
This role centres on Public Sector litigation, supporting senior lawyers with extensive expertise in public and administrative law, civil liberties, human rights, parliamentary/public affairs, and public inquiries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Advise clients on public and administrative law, including legislation, statutory interpretation, and the powers/duties of public bodies.
2. Act on Judicial Reviews, Appeals, and other court based challenges.
3. Represent clients in specialist First tier Tribunals.
4. Support and appear in public inquiries.
5. Manage a varied and fast paced workload with tight deadlines.
6. Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
You will be a self starter with strong client care skills, excellent technical ability, attention to detail, and confidence working in demanding environments. Office based work will be carried out from the firm’s Edinburgh location. While the team is busy, the firm is still open to considering candidates seeking a four‑day working week for this role.
