DelaControl is looking for an Operations Coordinator to join our rapidly growing team in central Bristol. As a key member of our close-knit team, youll ensure the smooth running of our day-to-day operations, from coordinating stock and suppliers to supporting engineers with the materials and information they need.

This role would suit someone who is organised, adaptable, and enjoys a mix of administrative and hands-on operational work. A significant part of the role involves handling purchasing, goods-in, checking deliveries, booking items into our ERP system, and organising stock within the workshop. Therefore, its ideal for someone who likes keeping things orderly and moving, in addition to maintaining friendly supplier relationships. We provide full on-the-job training and support employees who want to develop their skills through additional training courses.
Day-to-day tasks will involve using Excel (basic functions), Word, accounting software and our ERP system, which manages purchasing and inventory control. Youll play a vital role in helping us maintain high standards, supporting busy engineering projects, and ensuring materials flow smoothly through the business. The role also offers the opportunity to see some of the most advanced electrical technology on the market today. Alongside your core responsibilities, youll also have opportunities to get involved in wider business functions such as creating LinkedIn posts, supporting marketing activity, assisting with audits, or helping improve internal processes.
The Role
You will support the Business and Engineering teams with a blend of operational and administrative tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating day-to-day operations, including email management, scheduling, and record keeping.
Handling incoming calls from suppliers and customers while maintaining strong working relationships.
Monitoring stock levels, ensuring items are correctly booked in and out, and reordering materials when required.
Organising deliveries and maintaining a tidy, efficient workshop space.
Ordering components and parts for engineering projects in line with project timelines.
Taking part in weekly team meetings to support communication and project planning.
Assisting with expense claims, invoices, and general finance administration through accounting software.
Supporting small internal projects such as office organisation or customer research.
Generating invoices and processing payments.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in an operations, administration or business support role.
A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused mindset.
Good computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office.
High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
