Your New JobWe are seeking a passionate and resilient Science Teacher to join the school’s dedicated team. This is a full-time role starting in September 2025, initially for the first term, with the potential to be permanent based on fit and performance. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and differentiated Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on building confidence, curiosity, and core scientific understanding. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons tailored to individual learning needs
2. Supporting students with SEMH needs and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
3. Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
4. Working closely with teaching assistants, pastoral staff, and external agencies
5. Contributing to the wider schoolmunity and enrichment activities
6. Assessing and tracking student progress, providing regular feedback and support
What You'll Need to Succeed
7. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
8. Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 (experience in SEMH or alternative provision is desirable but not essential)
9. A flexible, empathetic, and proactive approach to teaching
10. Strong classroom management and behaviour support skills
11. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
