Main duties of the job

* Assess patients from 0+ years, addressing physical and mental health symptoms, providing evidence-based advice using NHS Pathways or other clinical decision support systems.
* Collaborate within a compassionate and professional clinical team. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a professional, empathetic approach to all calls.

Job Responsibilities
Purpose of the Role
Assess callers with a wide spectrum of clinical conditions, advise on next steps, and refer to further care as appropriate, using NHS Pathways. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing quality, evidence-based healthcare, demonstrating commitment to high standards and professional development.

* Telephone Triage: Conduct assessments, support non-clinical staff, maintain accurate records, and ensure safe, effective advice delivery.

* Maintain Professional Standards: Engage in continuous professional development, participate in supervision, and uphold regulatory requirements.
Person Specification
The candidate should have relevant qualifications, experience, and skills, including:
* Sub-part 1 level registration with NMC, or as a Pharmacist or Paramedic
* At least 2 years of post-registration clinical experience
* Experience working within a multi-professional environment
* Strong communication, decision-making, and time management skills
* Ability to work unsocial hours and adapt to service needs
