About the Role
1. Teach all areas of the primary curriculum.
2. Take responsibility for the progress and development of a class of primary-aged pupils.
3. Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
4. Organise the classroom and resources to create a positive learning environment.
5. Assess and monitor pupil progress rigorously, using data to inform teaching.
6. Maintain high expectations for every child, ensuring attainment matches potential.
7. Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil development.
Key Responsibilities
8. Establish clear, challenging learning goals for all pupils.
9. Monitor and assess progress effectively, using data to inform teaching and support improvement.
10. Deliver constructive feedback to pupils and parents, including during scheduled meetings.
11. Lead and coordinate activities or resources within a designated curriculum area, supporting colleagues as needed.
12. Contribute actively to the school’s vision and improvement initiatives.
13. Participate in school events and activities, occasionally outside normal hours.
14. Keep up to date with curriculum changes and best teaching practices.
What We’re Looking For
15. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
16. Strong subject knowledge and understanding of young pupils’ learning and pastoral needs.
17. Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
18. A positive attitude and commitment to the values and ethos of the school.
19. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
