Tasks
1. Support for Pupils:
* Assess students' needs and provide targeted support for their learning.
* Establish positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and setting high expectations.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support inclusion within the classroom.
* Communicate effectively with students to support their learning and promote independence.
2. Support for Teachers:
* Assist in planning and delivering engaging learning activities tailored to students' needs.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
* Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies and individual behavior plans.
* Collaborate with teachers to maintain a positive learning environment and support curriculum delivery.
3. Support for the Curriculum:
* Enhance students' learning across various subjects and learning environments.
* Utilize ICT effectively to support learning activities and student development.
* Prepare resources and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
4. Support for the School:
* Comply with school policies and procedures related to child protection, health, safety, and confidentiality.
* Foster positive relationships with external agencies and professionals to support student progress.
* Contribute to school activities and ethos, including out-of-school learning initiatives.
Requirements
* 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally with SEN experience.
* Proficiency in using ICT tools for educational purposes.
* Strong organizational and communication skills.
* Good levels of literacy and numeracy.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a dynamic school environment.
