Litigation Solicitor Location: Cardiff City Centre Salary: Up to £50,000 (DOE) Working Arrangement: Office working with flexibility About the Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Solicitor to join a supportive and established team within a well-regarded firm. This dynamic department handles a wide variety of litigation work, offering exposure to both pre- and post-issue matters. You will be part of a collaborative environment where fee earners of all levels work closely together, with a clear focus on professional development and progression. In this role, you will manage a mixed caseload of litigation matters from start to finish, whilst also supervising others and contributing to the growth of the team. Cases will include contract disputes, debt recovery, landlord and tenant matters, bankruptcy/insolvency, and personal injury claims, providing you with the scope to broaden your expertise and take on responsibility from day one. Key Responsibilities Managing a varied caseload of general litigation matters, both pre- and post-issue (under supervision where appropriate). Conducting litigation including drafting statements of case, witness statements, disclosure lists, applications, and instructions to counsel and experts. Handling cases from initial instruction through to resolution, ensuring compliance with office procedures. Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation and billing files. Responding to client enquiries promptly and professionally. Supporting senior colleagues on high-value, multi-track, and complex litigation. Assisting with business development initiatives alongside the wider team. What We’re Looking For 2 to 5 years’ PQE as a Solicitor Proven litigation experience, ideally with advocacy at interim hearings. A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently and mentor junior colleagues. Strong commercial awareness and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
