Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are excited to now be offering a temp to perm opportunity for an experienced HGV Driver with our client in Salisbury. Deliveries of caged goods on wheels, generally about 10 drops per shift, out of hours restocking of stores.
Position: HGV Class 2 Driver (Temp to Perm)
Days: 5 on 3 off
Start time: Days- 13:00-15:00 or Nights 22:00-00:30
Start date: ASAP
Location: Salisbury
Pay Rate: £16.25 (basic) – £18.21 (nights) for 1st 12 weeks. Quoted rate is for PAYE advance holiday pay. Average earning once permanent: £47,000-£49,500 per annum.
As a HGV Driver you MUST have:
1. a valid UK HGV driving licence
2. a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
3. no more than 6 penalty points (SP & TS offences only)
4. your own transport to get to and from work
As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for:
5. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
6. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
7. Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
8. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
9. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
