Hawksman Technology is currently working with a leading global crypto-native quantitative trading firm based in London, looking to hire a top-tier Quant Developer (C++ / Exchange Infrastructure) to join its core technology team.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Work closely with quantitative researchers and traders to design, build, and optimise ultra-low-latency trading and execution infrastructure across global crypto markets (CEX and DEX venues)
* Develop and maintain C++23-based high-performance systems for trading, order routing, and real-time market data processing
* Contribute to the design and optimisation of exchange connectivity layers, including FIX-style protocols, native exchange APIs, and WebSocket feeds
* Build and enhance components inspired by matching engine / exchange-grade architecture, including order lifecycle management, book building, and execution logic
* Optimise systems for deterministic low latency, high throughput, and extreme reliability in 24/7 crypto trading environments
* Work on real-time infrastructure, simulation frameworks, and exchange-level testing environments
* Integrate with centralised exchanges, decentralised protocols, and on-chain data infrastructure
* Diagnose production bottlenecks across networking, kernel, and application layers, and implement robust performance improvements
* Collaborate with global quant, trading, and infrastructure teams on cross-venue execution architecture
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related discipline (Master’s preferred)
* Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++17/20/23) with deep systems-level understanding
* Strong experience with low-latency systems, exchange connectivity, or market microstructure infrastructure
* Prior exposure to matching engines, OMS/EMS, order routing, or exchange-side engineering highly desirable
* Strong understanding of networking, concurrency, and performance optimisation in distributed systems
* Experience working in trading, exchange, or crypto infrastructure environments preferred
* Strong analytical skills and ability to operate in fast-paced, high-performance engineering teams
