An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Field Systems Support Officer to join our Operational Services Team. This role will be based in either Shiremoor, Sunderland, Castleford, or Hellaby.

Northern Powergrid, responsible for powering 8 million customers across the Northeast, Yorkshire, and northern Lincolnshire, is at the forefront of delivering a power network that meets the region’s needs now and in the future.
The successful candidate will provide support and training for Operations staff covering field devices, applications, and processes.
We offer a competitive salary between £28,401 - £31,107, along with transport provision.

Key Responsibilities:
* Be the expert in all Field Systems applications, providing support to operational staff and managers.
* Deliver training on Field Systems applications, including creating and maintaining training materials.
* Provide support to all Field Operations users, including initial training, early life support, and refresher training.
* Support NPg Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) operations and pilots.
* Liaise with IT and service providers regarding faults, issues, and improvements on Field Systems applications.
* Assist with designing and producing digitised forms or mobile data capture processes.
* Support programmes like BHE Transformation, Powerlink, and related software/applications.
* Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Work cooperatively and flexibly as part of a team.
* Provide excellent customer service, taking ownership and delivering solutions.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
* Utilise Microsoft applications effectively (MS Project, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).
* Manage projects with scheduling, prioritisation, and task delivery skills.
Qualifications and Attributes
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* Full UK Driving License
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills including scheduling and prioritisation
Desirable Qualifications & Experience:
* Project Management
* Microsoft Office Courses
* Experience in field device or application roll-out & training
* Experience supporting a range of aptitude levels
