Teaching Assistant Opportunities – Central & South Manchester Secondary Schools
Teaching Personnel are recruiting secondary school Teaching Assistants to support several schools across central and south Manchester. These roles are suitable for recent graduates who are considering a career in education and teaching, as well as individuals who would like to gain practical experience working with young people in a structured school environment.
The schools we work with are based across areas such as Chorlton, Withington, Didsbury, Burnage, Hulme, Moss Side, Fallowfield, and the city centre, offering a mix of large academies, smaller community schools, and specialist settings. Each school provides a supportive environment where new starters can develop confidence and skills while working alongside experienced teachers and pastoral staff.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils in lessons, either one-to-one or in small groups
* Assisting teachers with classroom routines and lesson preparation
* Helping pupils stay focused, engaged and on track
* Providing support to students with additional learning needs
* Always following safeguarding and school policies
Who We’re Looking For:
* Recent graduates from any degree background
* Individuals interested in education and teaching
* Confident communicators with a calm and reliable approach
* People who are willing to learn and work collaboratively within a school team
* Any experience with young people (coaching, tutoring, mentoring, clubs, etc)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
