GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join schools across Nottinghamshire. As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to engage positively in school life. You will provide encouragement, develop strategies to promote positive behaviour, and create a safe and supportive learning environment. Your role will be key in helping children succeed both academically and personally. Behaviour Support Assistant Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural and emotional needs. Assist the class teacher in implementing behaviour management strategies. Support students in developing confidence, resilience, and positive social skills. Work collaboratively with staff and parents to meet the needs of pupils. Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. Skills & Requirements: Previous experience supporting children with behavioural needs is desirable. CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualifications preferred. Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills. Patience, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations. A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
