Overview
We are supporting a new London Market D&F Broking operation, backed by one of the largest European insurance brokers. This hire will report directly to the Director of Operations and will play a key role in supporting brokers while helping to shape technical processes and documentation standards as the platform develops.
The role suits an Insurance Broker Technician who is comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment and has experience in one or more of the following classes: P&C, PV&T, and/or Construction.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day technical support to brokers across multiple classes
* Draft and review Policy Documentation, and issue MRCs, endorsements & wordings
* Support new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments
* Work closely with the Director of Operations to establish technical workflows and best practice
* Liaise with underwriters, coverholders, and international markets
* Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with London market standards
* Assist with complex placements and cross-class programme structures
* Maintain accurate records across internal systems and market platforms
Preferred Lines of Business
Demonstrable experience in one or more of the following:
* Property (commercial and specialty risks)
* Casualty
* Political Violence & Terrorism
* Construction
Additional specialty class exposure is welcome.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a broker technician or technical support role within the London market
* Strong understanding of policy construction and market documentation
* Experience in either Property & Casualty, Political Violence & Terrorism, or Construction is acceptable
* Strong communication skills and ability to work closely with brokers and markets
