The vacancy
North Lindsey College is looking to appoint a friendly, professional and organised Customer Services Assistant to join our busy Student Services team. This role sits at the heart of the College and is often the first point of contact for students, applicants, visitors and colleagues. You will provide high-quality customer service, information, advice and guidance, while supporting a range of student-focused administrative activities.

This is a Full time, permanent role at 35.5 hours.
Key responsibilities
1. Act as a first point of contact for enquiries, providing a professional customer service face to face, by telephone, email and digital platforms
2. Deliver accurate information, advice and guidance to prospective and current students, visitors and colleagues, including effective signposting to college services
3. Provide efficient administrative support, including issuing ID badges, updating student records, processing payments and handling reference requests
4. Maintain accurate and timely records, ensuring data is entered correctly and in line with data protection requirements
5. Support wider Student Services and College activities, including open events, enrolment periods and peak service times
6. Provide relief to the Financial Support Team as and when required
Essential criteria
7. Experience of working in a customer service or enquiry-based environment
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of people
9. Good organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
10. Competence in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, and confidence in learning new systems
11. GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above

Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
