Paint Applications Process Engineer, Liverpool
Jaguar Land Rover is seeking a Paint Applications Process Engineer to join their manufacturing team at the Halewood plant in Liverpool, UK. The role involves supporting and improving paint processes such as phosphate, electrocoat, and spray coat systems, ensuring quality and efficiency across vehicle production. Reporting to the CME Process Lead Engineer and Engineering Manager, the engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support and enhance paint application processes including phosphate, e-coat, and spray coat
* Implement lean manufacturing principles and adhere to control plans
* Lead quality problem-solving and data analysis to resolve production issues
* Collaborate with departments to share best practices and improve processes
* Review pFMEAs in response to customer feedback and facility changes
* Continuously improve paint application parameters to deliver high-quality results
Requirements:
* Hands-on experience with paint application processes such as E-Coat, pre-treatment, or automated robots
* Experience in manufacturing or engineering environments using lean tools
* Knowledge of pFMEA, control plans, MSA, and SPC
* Strong data-driven problem-solving skills
* Ability to drive continuous process improvements
