Job Description About the roleAs an Insurance Officer, you will provide essential administrative and operational support to theCouncil insurance function, helping to ensure that insurance claims are managed efficiently and inaccordance with financial regulations and best practice.
Working within the Accountancy team you will provide support handling insurance claims from initialnotification through to resolution. This will include liaising with internal colleagues and a range ofexternal partners such as insurance brokers, insurers, claims handlers, solicitors and loss adjusters toprogress claims effectively.
You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the insurance claims database and assisting withthe development of associated systems and processes. About youWe are looking for a wellorganised and detailfocused individual with a good general education(including GCSElevel Maths and English or equivalent). Strong literacy, numeracy and ITskills, with the ability to use Microsoft applications confidently and accurately to manage informationand maintain records are also essential. Experience within the Insurance sector specifically of handlingand processing insurance claims would be an advantage.
