Job description: Legal Assistant Corporate & Commercial
Role
You will be a key member of the FMGS corporate and commercial team supporting the two partners in providing a first-class service to our clients who are predominately business owners and entrepreneurs.
FMGS is a people focused commercial practice based in a semi-rural location just 1.5 miles from J31 of the M6 motorway with free onsite parking. Our busy and growing corporate team is led by two partners. Our ideal candidate will be a proactive and reliable team player with experience of working in a corporate team. You will understand the importance of completion deadlines and have the ability to work under pressure with a flexible 'can do' approach to work. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills are a must and you will understand the importance of AML requirements and conflict risks when assisting with file opening and preparation of engagement letters.
:
* Supporting the partners in the corporate team;
* File opening and preparing letters of engagement and undertaking AML checks using Credit Safe;
* Drafting ancillary documentation such as shareholder resolutions, board minutes, share certificates and Companies House forms;
* Filing documents at Companies House;
* Organising client appointments and Teams Calls;
* Distributing documents for signature via DocuSign;
* Preparing completion bibles and indexes;
* Verifying bank details with clients and third parties; and
* Ad hoc tasks as required.
Hours and place of work:
9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
