We are actively seeking highly skilled and motivated personnel for the following key site-based roles:

* Charge Hands (Permit Holders): The frontline leaders and safety-critical personnel managing the worksite.

* Leading Hands: Experienced Lines workers guiding the operational crews and maintaining workflow efficiency.

* Lines Workers: Skilled operatives executing complex OHL maintenance and installation tasks.

* Assembly Erectors: Specialists in the precise assembly and erection of OHL structures and components.

Location: opportunities across various strategic locations throughout the United Kingdom, supporting the nation's critical infrastructure network.The Role.


Advantage NRG is currently looking for experienced and dedicated Linesman Erectors to join our elite operational teams. As a Linesman Erector, you will occupy a pivotal, hands-on role within a dynamic and high-performing team. You will work in close, communicative collaboration with your assigned Chargehand to ensure that your gang operates at peak performance, consistently achieving and upholding the three key elements of our Mission Statement: Safety, Quality, and Productivity. By operating to this elite standard, you will solidify your position as a key member of our workforce, gain access to continuous professional development, and actively work towards significantly enhancing your career trajectory within the OHL industry.Key Attributes and Functional Requirements:


A successful candidate for the Linesman Erector role will possess the essential skills and professional commitment to consistently deliver exceptional results:

* Teamwork and Safety: Work effectively as an integral part of a team to ensure the safe, effective, and efficient repair, maintenance, and installation of overhead power lines and associated infrastructure.

* Quality Workmanship: Consistently maintain a very high standard of work, ensuring meticulous attention to detail from the initial preparatory phase through to the final sign-off.

* Productivity and Efficiency: Be acutely mindful of productivity metrics and predetermined timescales, ensuring the completion of works meets and exceeds our client's challenging targets.

* Site Management: Maintain an exemplary level of housekeeping across all work sites, within welfare facilities, and in all company vehicles to uphold a professional and safe environment.

* Plant Operation: Confidently and safely operate various items of plant specifically appropriate to the Overhead Line industry, demonstrating full competence and certification.

* Professional Engagement: Proactively engage with all site operatives, client representatives, and stakeholders to foster a healthy, mutual, and respectful working relationship.

* Adherence to Instruction: Diligently and precisely follow all instructions and technical specifications provided by Supervisors and Client Engineers.

* Problem-Solving: Competently overcome standard rigging and mechanical challenges within the strict limits and scope of the issued Work Instructions and Method Statements.

* Equipment Integrity: Undertake daily, thorough pre-use inspections on all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and fall arrest equipment, ensuring its full operational integrity.

* Emergency Response: Confidently and competently carry out tower rescue procedures when necessary, maintaining readiness for emergency situations.

Core Responsibilities: Upholding Our Standards


The Linesman Erector holds defined responsibilities critical to project success and adherence to company standards:

* Execution of Works: Primary responsibility for the safe and correct installation, repair, and maintenance of overhead power lines and structures.

* Documentation Compliance: Rigorous adherence to all conditions stipulated in the Permit to Work (PTW) and Limited Access Certificate documents.

* Equipment Readiness: Ensure possession and correct use of all necessary tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment required to safely and effectively complete all assigned duties.

* Defect Reporting: Promptly and accurately record and report any defects or damages found on PPE or fall arrest equipment to your Supervisors and Management team.

* Safety Participation: Play an active, engaged, and constructive part in daily tool box talks and on-site risk assessments.

* Hazard Management: Immediately report all potential hazards to your Supervisor. This includes all incidents that have, or may have, resulted in personal injury, environmental damage, or near-miss situations.

* Incident Reporting: Report any work-related personal injury using the dedicated Advantage NRG Health & Safety App, adhering to strict company protocol.

* Stop Work Authority: If you feel you are asked to undertake a task that you believe is unsafe or for which you feel you lack the appropriate knowledge or training, you are empowered and required to report this directly to your Supervisor and Management team, exercising your stop-work authority.

* Digital Reporting: Utilize the NRG Health & Safety App for comprehensive reporting of kudos (positive safety/quality observations), identified hazards, and defective equipment.

* Mentorship: Actively participate in the training and supervision of newer, less-experienced members of the team, fostering a culture of knowledge transfer and development.
