The Opportunity
NCC Group has an exciting opportunity for a highly driven and ambitious newly-qualified Management Accountant to support our US and EU businesses. You will need to demonstrate excellent analytical and numerical abilities, with a high level of accuracy and a keen eye for detail. Being a team player is critical as you will be part of a core Management Accounts Team responsible for preparing the financial results, working closely with different finance colleagues (Reporting, Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable) and sales teams.
This position will have a broad financial focus with study support provided. You will also be responsible for the delivery of timely and accurate financial information to the Senior Management Accountant, whilst providing them with assistance as and when required to facilitate the wider financial support for the division. Finally, you will be involved in areas such as system implementation and process re-design across both the operational and financial functions.

The Role
As a Management Accountant, you will be focused on:
Monthly performance
* Work as part of a team to prepare and reconcile accurate cost reporting and completeness of cost accruals and prepayments
* Intercompany recharges
* Management Accounts in the review, investigation and resolution of variances
* Management Accounts in the preparation of the month end reporting pack
* Management Accounts with the weekly Cash flow forecasting
* Support Management Accounts in reporting commentary
* Use and update a variety of systems (including Workday and Hyperion)
* Fixed assets and depreciation accounting
* Deferred income calculations
* Ensure all revenue/contracts are updated on the system, with relevant revenue schedules
* Support with contract terminations on the system
* Ensure sales referrals are submitted for approval and distributed to HR for payment
Financial control and governance
* Post journal entries (with sign off as required for material, non-recurring, non-transaction input)
* Prepare intercompany reconciliations (investigating as necessary) with the rest of the group
* Prepare and obtain approval (investigating as necessary) from the Senior Management Accountant of all balance sheet reconciliations
* Ensure regular reviews of the balance sheet reconciliations take place such as accrued/deferred revenue
* Ensure that all relevant supporting documentation is available as necessary
* Ensure that all spreadsheets, processes and desktop instructions are fully documented, regularly reviewed, updated and stored centrally
* Provide support to the AP/AR team where necessary
* Support the team with Half year and Year-end Audit.
Relationships
* Ensure you maintain adequate relations with all related functions across sales, intercompany counterparties and other finance functions including credit control, billing and accounts payable.
* Ensure that supporting/upstream teams have clear deadlines for delivery as part of the month end process and other reporting requirements.
Essential Skills
* Newly qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA preferred)
* Previous experience in a similar position
* Fully competent with Microsoft Office package, with strong/advanced Excel skills
* Previous experience in the Technology or Professional Services sector is desirable
* Working knowledge of Hyperion and Workday is beneficial but not essential
* Relevant and demonstratable experience is essential
* Experience with standard costing is desirable
* Understanding of good financials
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Strong analytical and numerical abilities
* Accuracy and an eye for detail
* The ability to work as part of a team
