The role
A well-established secondary school in Northumberland is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support teaching and learning across KS3–KS5.
This role will involve leading small group interventions, covering lessons where required, and working closely with teaching staff to raise attainment. The school has clear systems and a strong support structure, making it an excellent environment for an experienced TA ready to take the next step.

£110 – £130 per day | PAYE | Depending on experience

Key responsibilities
6. Deliver small group and targeted intervention sessions
7. Provide in-class support across subject areas
8. Cover lessons in the absence of a teacher where required
9. Support pupils with additional learning needs
10. Contribute to progress tracking and feedback
The ideal candidate
11. HLTA qualification or significant secondary TA experience
12. Confident leading groups independently
13. Strong behaviour management skills
14. Experience supporting pupils with SEN
15. Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
