Team Overview: Our BIM (Building Information Modelling) team plays a vital role in delivering accurate, coordinated, and data-rich 3D models for use throughout the design, construction, and installation phases of our projects. Working closely with design engineers, project managers, and site teams, the department ensures that all mechanical and electrical services are fully integrated and clash-free prior to construction. This proactive approach helps reduce risk, improve efficiency, and enhance collaboration across all stakeholders — ultimately supporting the successful delivery of high-quality, bespoke MEP solutions. Role Overview: We are looking to appoint a BIM Technician to support the wider BIM and Design teams in developing accurate, coordinated, and information-rich 3D models that facilitate design, offsite manufacture, and onsite installation. This entry-to-intermediate role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital design, prefabrication, and BIM delivery within one of the UK and Ireland’s leading offsite construction specialists. Job Title: BIM Technician Location: Head Office, Banbridge Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-3pm Salary: Competitive Depending on Experience Responsible to: BIM Lead What You’ll be Doing: Model Production and Coordination Support Assist in the creation and maintenance of 3D Revit MEP models for mechanical and electrical building services. Support BIM Coordinators in developing coordinated, clash-free models integrating architectural and structural elements. Help prepare federated models for internal design coordination and issue tracking using Revizto. Update models based on markups, design changes, and fabrication revisions under guidance from senior BIM staff. Assist in producing drawing sets, layouts, and model exports for design review and approval. Documentation and Drawing Support Prepare clear and accurate 2D drawings and details from 3D models, including plan, section, and elevation views. Assist in producing fabrication and installation drawing packs, ensuring consistent presentation and quality. Help maintain version control and data structure within the Common Data Environment (CDE). Collaboration and Communication Work closely with BIM Coordinators, Engineers, and Project Managers to ensure the timely and accurate exchange of model information. Attend internal coordination meetings or digital model reviews as required. Support the fabrication and site teams with up-to-date model data, ensuring accurate construction information is always available. Learning and Development Actively engage in ongoing BIM and software training, including Revit, Revizto and company-standard workflows. Learn and apply ISO 19650-compliant processes, supporting structured digital delivery. Contribute ideas and feedback to improve efficiency and modelling standards within the BIM department. What You Need to Have: Minimum 1 years’ experience in a BIM, CAD, or MEP design environment (or placement experience). Proficient in Autodesk Revit for 3D model creation and coordination. Familiarity with Navisworks / Revizto for viewing, clash detection, or model review. Strong attention to detail and an interest in technical design, digital modelling, and construction. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Competent in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams). What You Would Ideally Have: A relevant qualification in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Digital Construction. Experience producing or assisting with fabrication-level models or drawings. Awareness of prefabrication and offsite manufacturing workflows. Understanding of BIM data management and model coordination principles.
