Internal Account Manager
This is a great opportunity for an Internal Account Manager to join a well-established UK-based supplier of workwear, PPE and workplace essentials. Operating as a true one-stop shop with a single-source supply model, the business supports customers across sectors including logistics, public services, waste & environmental, and facilities management. The focus is on keeping people safe, compliant and productive, while delivering a consistently high level of service
The Role - Internal Account Manager
As an Internal Account Manager, you will act as the main point of contact for order placers and depot-level contacts once accounts move beyond Customer Experience. You'll provide proactive, professional support, ensuring enquiries, quotations and follow-ups are handled with speed and accuracy. Working closely with National and Key Account Managers, you'll help deliver day-to-day account management while supporting wider strategic objectives.
You will build a clear understanding of each customer's spend potential, identify gaps in product penetration and promote relevant products, branding options and tailored solutions. The Internal Account Manager will prepare and issue quotations ranging from straightforward product requests to more complex specialist requirements, always within agreed turnaround times.
A key part of the role is proactive communication. You'll pick up the phone to build rapport, resolve queries quickly and follow up on all quotations to maximise conversion. Where inbound enquiries are fully up to date, you'll also make outbound calls to selected existing customers, such as lapsed accounts, to generate additional business.
You'll use CRM as the central tool to log all activity accurately and work collaboratively with NAMs, KAMs, Customer Experience, Category Managers and other internal teams to ensure joined-up, seamless service.
Skills, Experience and Approach
To succeed as an Internal Account Manager, you'll bring at least one year's experience in sales support, internal sales or a customer-facing commercial role. You'll have strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple enquiries in a fast-paced environment. A customer-first mindset, commercial awareness and confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are essential. Experience advising on products or solutions is welcomed, but attitude and approach matter just as much.
Package and Location - Internal Account Manager
* £40,000 basic salary
* Growth sharing bonus
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (increasing after 3 years)
* Parking, wellbeing activities, sports days, BBQs and company events
* Early Friday finish at 4pm
Based in Petersfield, this role offers a hybrid pattern of four days in the office and one day working from home.
