We are looking to recruit an in-sessional
English for Academic Purposes (EAP) Tutor
to join our team supporting students and researchers on the Penryn, Falmouth and Truro campuses.
As an EAP tutor, you will play a key role in supporting students' and researchers' language skills development through group teaching, 1:1 guidance and development of resources. You will work closely with colleagues in library and student support and from both Falmouth and Exeter Universities. You will also collaborate across the universities to enhance the international student experience more widely.
The ideal candidate will have experience of delivering in-sessional language skills support in a UK Higher Education environment and experience of teaching groups and providing 1-1 support at all levels of study and research. You will thrive on working and collaborating in complex environments and will have a flexible approach and a willingness to embrace new technologies and relationships. Alongside these key skills, we are looking for candidates with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ideal candidate will bring:
* Demonstrable experience of designing engaging learning resources and delivering innovative teaching
* A strong interest in helping students reach their potential and an understanding of the international student experience in the UK
* Adaptability and an ability to work as part of a team and on their own initiative

This is a fixed term to 1 September 2026, full-time, 37.5 hours per week. We are able to offer flexibility with the end date if you are available until earlier in the summer and happy to consider part-time working hours to be discussed at interview.
The position is based on the Penryn campus in Cornwall with teaching and one to one support predominantly in person.
