Your new role
The role: The main purpose of this role is to ensure environmental compliance within Robertson Group. The Senior Environmental Advisor will oversee the entire built environment lifecycle, including development, construction, facilities management, civil engineering, timber engineering, and strategic services across the UK.
This senior role involves championing high standards and embedding the Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) strategy to foster a best-in-class environmental culture. The project work may vary, but the goal remains the same: to assure a sustainable future.
Duties:
* Implement and support the Group ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, developing processes and procedures as needed.
* Participate actively in the work-winning process, including tender responses.
* Support preconstruction teams to integrate environmental considerations into all phases of work, including developing Environmental Management, Aspects and Impact registers, and other site requirements.
* Build strong relationships with business functions and regional teams by providing support and guidance on environmental risks, regulatory matters, and legal obligations.
* Lead inspections, internal audits, and participate in external environmental audits when required.
* Identify and assess environmental risks and contribute to their management and mitigation.
* Investigate incidents and near misses, share lessons learned, and contribute to Incident Review Boards (IRBs) as needed.
* Assist in developing and delivering environmental training programs, monitoring training compliance.
* Liaise with other SHE professionals within the business to improve SHE performance.
* Perform any other duties as required by the Group Environmental Manager.
