The Role
:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be involved from inception to completion on both bespoke and standard projects, you will create the designs based on the client brief, liaise with internal departments including production to ensure the smooth completion of all projects.
The Mechanical Design Engineer key responsibility will be to:
1. Work closely with the customer to create CAD models in 3D.
2. Create 2D drawings for manufacture.
3. Work out the technical requirements as well as costings on projects.
4. Work closely with production to ensure manufacturing accuracy.
5. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and all internal departments.
6. Visit customers, and suppliers’ site to relay project progress and develop good business relations.
The Candidate:
To be successful in your application for the Mechanical Design Engineer role you will need:
7. A Mechanical engineering qualification.
8. Proficient CAD software experience in both 2D and 3D
9. Excellent communication skills.
10. Ability to liaise with customers and suppliers.
