A Snapshot of Your Day
As an Electrical Winder (Fitter), you will be responsible for performing electrical winding and fitting activities on generator and stator components. Working as part of the production and service facility team, you will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will follow clear technical instructions, support day-to-day operations, and contribute to maintaining Siemens Energy’s reputation for excellence in generator service and repair.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Perform electrical winding and fitting tasks on generator and stator components as directed.
2. Maintain a strong understanding of generator mechanical and electrical systems across multiple technologies.
3. Complete all work in line with quality, safety, and operational procedures.
4. Review and highlight any technical, quality, or safety issues to your supervisor.
5. Complete inspection records and ensure all documentation is accurate and compliant.
6. Support the day-to-day execution of facility service work, including assisting with equipment preparation and repair.
7. Contribute to process improvement and problem resolution within your area of responsibility.
8. Work safely and efficiently, following risk assessments, method statements, and site safety practices.
9. Support training and knowledge-sharing with colleagues when required.
10. Maintain a flexible approach to working hours and occasional travel (UK and overseas) to support field service activities.
What You Bring
11. Time-served qualification in Electrical Winding (Fitting) or equivalent experience.
12. Proven experience in electrical winding and fitting within a relevant operational or service environment.
13. Understanding of generator mechanical and electrical works.
14. Strong commitment to quality, accuracy, and safe working practices.
15. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under minimal supervision.
16. Flexible, motivated, and reliable with strong time management skills.
17. Awareness of facility processes and willingness to undertake further training where required.
18. Positive attitude toward continuous improvement and company initiatives such as Zero Harm, Talk to Me, and Right First Time.
