Job Description
In this busy and varied Senior Finance Officer role based in Bradford, roles and responsibilities will include;
* Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts
* Ensure compliance with financial legislation and standards
* Partner with external stakeholders to provide a first-class financial service, assessing both opportunities and risks
* Provide financial insight and advice to the management team.
* Develop and implement effective financial policies and procedures
* Prepare detailed financial reports and statements.
* Participate in strategic planning and decision-making at management level
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Finance Officer should have:
* Newly qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
* Proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting
* Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with non-finance stakeholders
* Sector experience in education or non-profit is a plus, but not essential
* Detail oriented and analytical
